Description

Fabulous Edwardian 18 carat Gold Turquoise and Pearl and floral necklace, Circa 1910.

Featuring eight, five round and three oval cabochon Turquoise gemstones, these beautiful Turquoise gemstones are a vivid turquoise blue colour with subtle hues of green, they are well matched and have a good saturation of colour, they have no visible chips or cracks.

Boasting five flowers detailed with natural white seed Pearls.

The use of seed pearls in fine jewellery throughout the latter part of the 19th century was immensely popular. A seed pearl is a small natural pearl, formed in either a saltwater oyster or freshwater mussel, that is usually less than 2mm in diameter.

Turquoise is the traditional birthstone for December. Pearl is the traditional birthstone for June.
