Antique Suffragette Gold Necklace with Amethyst Peridot Diamond and Pearls Edwardian Period Stunning!

Lovely quality and full of period style, dating from the Edwardian period, this Suffragette necklace is set with one pear shape and four round cut spring green
Peridots.

Boasting three rich purple princess cut Amethysts set within a halo of natural seed Pearls and two sparkling Diamond accents.

Finely hand crafted in 9 carat Gold. The necklace is fastened with a bolt ring clasp. Circa: 1910.

The overall finish of the ring is wonderful. Everything is smooth to the touch.

The stones in this Suffragette pendant spell “Give” / Green / Peridot, “Women” / White / Diamond, “Votes” / Peridot / Garnet. It would have been worn to show one’s sympathy with the movement. It is in lovely condition and was originally retailed in Dundee, a city known for its Suffrage sympathisers, such as Margaret Irwin who was a Trade Union and Suffrage activist. Margaret, aged 34, embarked on a lifetime’s work to improve the lot of women in the workforce.
