Description

A wonderful "Man in the Moon" charm from the late early Edwardian era, Circa 1900!

This whimsical piece has a double-sided design crafted in rosy gold. The pendant portrays a recognisable "Man in the Moon" face, which has intricately sculpted facial features for a realistic three dimensional look.

One side of the charm has a "happy" face, while the opposite side has a "sad" face, allowing the wearer to choose which side to display as the front.

This unique design is reminiscent of the Greek "Comedy/Tragedy" theater masks that are also commonplace in jewellery.

The hollow charm is lightweight, and hangs from a simple gold ring at the top.

It would look perfect worn on a chain or grouped with other favorite charms!

The overall condition of the piece is very good. Besides normal surface wear, there is a small hole, barely noticeable nest to jump ring at the top, which is securely attached.

A wonderful antique Edwardian charm truly sweet delight.
