Description

This fine and impressive forty six multi-gem basket brooch has been crafted in 9 carat yellow Gold with 9 carat white Gold settings.

The brooch has been modelled in the form of a basket and floral bouquet arrangement.

The multi-stranded woven rope twist basket holds a floriated design, composed of flowers and paired leaf shaped settings.

The floral spray is ornamented with twenty eight round cut bright white Sapphires and twenty eight royal rich royal purple Amethysts.

The brooch secures with a 9 carat Gold hinged pin and push fit clasp fastening to the reverse.

This impressive vintage 1960's brooch is exceptional quality set with very high colour and clarity gemstones.

Excellent condition especially for its age with all the original stones and no repairs.

Brooches of this type are highly collectable and are sought after worldwide.
