Description

A gorgeous oval white Australian Opal, measures 10 x 6 mm, displaying an entrancing palette of pastel colours of predominantly orange, green and blue with flashes of lavender, sits snug in a magnificent, Art Deco inspired Platinum filigree Diamond set mounting.

There are a total of twenty bright white high premium sparkling brilliant round cut Diamonds, weighing 1.45 carats set in a Geometric patterns using clear-cut, bold shapes.

This is a lovely ring and sparkles wonderfully in the light.

The overall finish of the ring is wonderful. Everything is smooth to the touch.  

The shank is substantial, yet extremely comfortable to wear.

To the reverse the Diamonds are set in open backed settings, this allows the light to shine through for that extra sparkle.

The whiteness and lustre of Platinum enhances the colour of the Diamonds.

The Australian Opal is from Cooper Pedy.

The name "Coober Pedy" comes from the local Aboriginal term kupa-piti, which means "boys' waterhole".

The first opal was found in Coober Pedy on 1 February 1915; since then the town has been supplying most of the world's gem-quality opal.
