This Georgian inspired design was taken from an original early-to-mid-19th century Georgian Diamond ring.  This a ring that is sure to attract many admiring glances.

Taking center stage is a wonderful lively spring green round Colombian Emerald that is flanked by four round cut sparking Diamonds and a further two Colombian Emeralds that glitters across the finger.
 
Colombia is the source of the world’s finest Emeralds. The mines of Colombia are situated in the eastern range of the Andes. The most famous of these are the Chivor and Muzo mines, known for high quality emeralds with a saturated pure green hue with bluish green overtones and a superior clarity.

These mines were an ancient source of Emeralds, first mined on an industrial scale by the Spanish in 1538.

As the birthstone for May, the emerald, a symbol of rebirth, is believed to grant the owner foresight, good fortune, and youth. Emerald, derived from the word “smaragdus,” means, quite literally, “green” in Greek.

These precious gemstones have been set in a newer gallery and the attention to detail is wonderful.

Finely handcrafted in 18 carat yellow Gold with beautiful foliate shoulder detailing which was very typical of the early-to-mid-19th century .

The shank is substantial, yet extremely comfortable to wear.

The most amazing and practical low setting with a smooth surface that won't catch.

Excellent condition with very little minor surface wear consistent with age and use.

The ring has an important look combined with a truly beautiful design.

Looks fabulous when worn.
