Description

A fabulous vintage Egyptian inspired snake collar made by the renowned Smith & Pepper in the 1970s. The band is an ingenious, expandable design that articulates and slithers fluidly. It’s modelled entirely in 9 carat Gold and has a silky-smooth surface.

The serpent's head and tail unite at the bottom of the piece and have been engraved with detailed patterning and is set with two pink round cut Ruby all seeing eyes.

It’s a classic design and is held securely by a concealed box clasp and safety catch with the maker’s initials and hallmarks displayed underneath which indicate it was made in Birmingham in 1970.

Very minor signs of wear, Gold has a beautiful glow. It is a beautiful piece, superb craftsmanship, it is a great investment and will make a fantastic gift, where a snake, since Victorian time, symbolizes eternal Love and Devotion.
