These graceful Edwardian Bohemium Garnet Diamond drop earrings are beautiful! Each earring is inlaid with 3 sparkling rose cut Diamonds and juicy 6.00 carat Garnet cabochons drops, the perfect piece to wear on glamorous occasions.

Bohemian Garnets had their heyday in Europe when the Bohemian garnet deposits were discovered in 1500. Their enormous production made the gemstone more popular than ever, and Bohemia (in the modern Czech Republic) became a great garnet jewelry center.

It is believed that the Garnet associates with the heart, blood, inner fire, and life force, garnets have long been considered symbols of love. Garnet symbolism also extends to friendship.

We believe that these earrings were created on the cusp of the Victorian era, as they clearly have Georgian style and substance, Circa 1910.

These antique Garnet Diamond drop earrings are in sublime condition for their age. The delectable Garnet cabochons are snug with their settings with no abrasions or nicks to their surface. The Diamonds are also secure within their settings with no signs of wear to their rose cut facets.
