At over one hundred years old this wonderful Edwardian Sapphire and Diamond gypsy ring is simply timeless.

The head of the ring is set with a beautiful four rich deep blue round cut Sapphires and is flanked by six glittery white old-mine-cut Diamonds which add sumptuous sparkle from every angle.

The gemstones are flush mounted so everything is smooth to the touch.  

The shank is substantial, yet extremely comfortable to wear.

The most amazing and practical low setting with a smooth surface that won't catch.

The ring sits low and gently curves over the finger.

Finely handcrafted in thick gauge 18ct yellow Gold which has age beautifully with time.

Edwardian gypsy rings, also known as "gypsy-set" or "flush-mount" rings, have a rich history and symbolism. They are characterised by a stone that is set flush with the band, giving it a protected, "snug" appearance. This setting was often favoured for travel, as it was considered more secure than claw-set rings. The name "gypsy" is thought to have originated from the 19th century, with the rings being associated with the Romani community and symbolise wealth and status.
