Description

Since before the Bronze age people have been using seals to make an impression (usually in wax, on paper or in clay). This Victorian seal certainly makes an impression of it's own.

This beautiful antique intaglio wax seal features a flower surrounded by the words "Forget Me Not".  The Carnelian intaglio seal looks as if it is made of glass rather than a hard stone.

The engraving is in excellant good condition.  The fob is engraved with a flower and leaf design with scrolls and flourishes.

In ancient Egypt the stone was used to protect the living and the dead. The Egyptian Pharaohs believed that the stone has supernatural qualities.

Carnelian is believed to have the capability to protect the wearer from negative energies.

The wonderful Carnelian precious gemstone is collet set and handcrafted in solid 9 carat Gold with exquisite hand carved floral sweeping design.
