Description
An instantly recognisable piece of Art Nouveau jewellery by the highly collected designer Charles Horner.
A Charles Horner Art Nouveau pendant depicting two romantic graceful swans on a backdrop of blue/pink oval enamel.
Complete with a Chester hallmark for the year 1918.
Charles Horner was an English jeweller and founder of the Halifax jewellery business Charles Horner of Halifax.
Horner's business was founded in the 1860s and was based at 23 Northgate, Halifax.
It
produced silver jewellery and ornaments. Among its better-known
jewellery lines were enameled Art Nouveau pendants and necklaces.
The pendant is in excellent condition for a piece of antique jewellery of 100+ years old, with minor signs of wear commensurate with age and use.
