Description

This gorgeous, 9 carat yellow Gold spinning fob features beautiful Carnelian and Blood-stone.

The swivel claw has a large bail, showing little sign of age.

The claw is in the form of a chain.

Total fob seal weight: 5.4 grams
The stones measures: 10mm x 15mm

Overall design measures: 25mm x 20mm

These stones were commonly used in fobs and often had family crests carved into them, they would have been worn on a gentleman's watch chain mostly for decoration.

The Carnelian stone has a rich deep red colour and the Blood-stone is a dark green with flecks of red in it.

Both of the stones are smooth and cold to touch.

Wonderful to hold and move around your hand.

A great piece, steeped in English history.
