A genuine 18 carat Gold original Edwardian Ruby and Diamond 5 stone ring, dates to the year 1903 complete with a clear and full English Hallmark.

This beautiful Edwardian ring is set with 0.40 carats of lively cherry red Rubies which are of exceptional quality and lustre.  

The three exceptional vintage Rubies are complimented by 0.20 points of shimmering old mined hand cut sparkling Diamonds.  

Dating from the mid 1800’s through the 1900’s, old mine hand cut Diamonds are most often found in Georgian and Victorian jewellery.

Primarily hand cut with the aid of early machines, they are a favorite stone for those who love stones with deeply individual character, as each stone is hand cut and uniquely beautiful.

The Rubies and Diamonds are all claw set.  Pierced out extended claw gallery.  Plain shoulders lead to a plain band shank.

To the reverse the Rubies and Diamonds are set into open backed settings this allows the light to shine through for sparkle.

This ring shows very little wear as shown in the pictures.

A ring of this high quality which has little wear and not worn being coupled with a full English hallmark is fast becoming a rare find.

This ring certainly ticks all the right boxes an absolute wonderful example of an Edwardian ring steeped in English history.   

These rings became popular in late Victorian times when they were given a friendship band as gifts to either young ladies or by lovers and husbands.

Given as a gift, the ruby is a symbol of friendship and love. The ruby is also the symbol of vitality and royalty.
