Dating from the mid 1800's through the 1900's, old mine hand cut Diamonds are most often found in Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian jewellery.

Primarily hand cut with the aid of early machines, they are a favourite stone for those who love stones with deeply individual character, as each stone is hand cut and uniquely beautiful. 

Early diamond cutters (today known as bruters) shaped old mine cut Diamonds by following the octahedral shape of the diamond crystal, laboriously grinding two Diamonds together to achieve the desired shape, and a diamond polisher then polished the facets. 

Set in luxurious 18 carat Gold, the ring is further enhanced by the vibrant allure of two oval cut Sapphires, adding a touch of deep, enchanting blue. 

These wonderful Edwardian gemstones are secured in a claw setting leading to trumpet detailing to the shoulders leading to a plain band shank.
