Description

The wonderful design combines two Victorian era elements to create an unusual piece with a stylish skull motif.

A very unique compilation ring from the Victorian era, Circa 1800's.

The ring itself is crafted in 18 carat solid warm rose Gold, with a smooth band and oval-shaped center.

A hidden detail can be found underneath the oval centerpiece which is hinged at the side and flips open to the left.

Often referred to as a "poison ring" or "locket ring," the hidden compartment could be used to store a small item or photograph inside.

The disguised compartment feature of the ring makes it a subtle and secretive piece!

Resting on the face of the oval seal is a Silver Victorian skull which has nine sparkling old rose had cut Diamonds and lightly engraved detail representing its teeth and nasal bone.

The wonderful contrast of the Silver and Gold precious metals is really distinctive.

A wonderful example of Victorian era compilation jewellery, this striking ring would make a special addition to any collection!

The condition of the ring is excellent. It opens to the left and stays securely closed when snapped shut.

The solid Silver skull is in superb condition, with all the sparkling Diamonds intact.

The overall finish of the ring is wonderful. Everything is smooth to the touch.

The shank is substantial, yet extremely comfortable to wear.

Circa:  1864-1865,  stamp letter date "P"

This is an extremely valuable heritage piece, of the highest investment.

The ring has an important look combined with a truly beautiful design.

This impressive ring is sure to be noticed and a guaranteed smile maker!

The Victorian Period generally covers 1835 through 1890 and is named for Queen Victoria, the reigning monarch who was reputedly an incurable romantic.

Victorian Jewels virtually drip with sentimentality and symbolism, and of all the decorative periods Victorian incorporates the most varied and eclectic design motifs: skulls, flowers, birds, snakes, hearts and crescents, to name just a handful.

They Victorians  composed almost exclusively of yellow Gold and are often topped with Silver to accentuate the ole rose cut Diamonds.
