Description

This Suffragette pendant has a very feminine look and feel with great detailing, including a dropper just to give it that extra bit of movement and insures that it lays completely smoothly on the chest.

Taking center stage is a lively spring green oval collet set Peridot.

The Peridot is set within an ornate open framework featuring twenty three natural seed Pearls.

The Pearls are beautiful displaying a lovely rich creamy lustre and compliments the fabulous Peridot.

Suspended at the base is a pear shaped collet set purple Amethyst with wonderful clarity.

This is a beautiful Suffragette pendant which is in excellent condition.

It is composed of three colours which were the code for a member of the women�s Suffrage movement.

Green, (Green or demantoid Garnets) white (natural split Pearls and white enamel) Vermilion (Amethyst).

The first letters of each colour �G� Give �W� women �V� votes were a secret code that was instantly recognisable to fellow members or sympathisers.

Fifteen carat Gold ceased to be used in 1931 and has itself become quite sought after for this reason.

The pendant is in very excellent condition for a piece of antique jewellery of 100+ years old.

Lovingly handcrafted in 15 carat Gold and was made Circa 1910-1915.

The pendant comes with a 9 carat yellow Gold 16 inch curb chain with a secure c-clasp.
