Gorgeous Ceylon Sapphire and Diamond ring dating Circa, 1930s.  British in origin.

Framing the 0.65 carat deep rich royal blue Ceylon Sapphire is a halo of ten sparkling eight cut bright white sparkling Diamonds.

Diamonds weigh 0.10 carats.

Invented in the late 14th century, the "Old Single Cut" (sometimes called Old Eight Cut) Diamond has the addition of corner facets to create an octagonal girdle, an octagonal table, eight bezel or crown facets, and eight pavilion facets.

Good cut reflects most of the light that enters it for a quality sparkle.

The gorgeous gemstones are all set in a classic secure Platinum prong setting leading to an 18 carat yellow Gold band.

This is a lovely ring and sparkles wonderfully in the light.

The overall finish of the ring is wonderful. Everything is smooth to the touch.  

The shank is substantial, yet extremely comfortable to wear.

To the reverse the Diamonds are set in open backed settings, this allows the light to shine through for that extra sparkle.
