Description

This is a spectacular example of an original Edwardian Suffragette Pendant that is sure to impress all who see, Circa 1900s.

Taking center stage is an impressive Amethyst, measuring 10mm x 6mm and is collet set within a halo of 22 natural seed Pearls with a further 8 set within a pierced out frame interspaced by 4 round Amethysts and 4 Round lively green Peridots.

Freely dancing below is princess cut Amethyst. The bail has the added detail of a further 3 natural seed Pearls.

Finely handcrafted in yellow 15 carat Gold and complete with a 17 inch chain.

Suffragettes liked to be depicted as feminine. Their jewellery was chosen to counter the stereotypes put forward by opponents that they were mannish or shrieking!

Green is for give, white is for women and violet is for votes.

Amethyst has been highly esteemed throughout the ages for its stunning beauty and legendary powers to stimulate, and soothe, the mind and emotions.

The Peridot is a stone of lightness and beauty and was believed to be a stone of springtime by ancients who considered it a gift from Mother Nature.
