WONDERFUL EDWARDIAN NIGHT AND DAY ROSE GOLD BRACELET

Description

A wonderful Edwardian bracelet.  The Victorians called them "Night and Day" as they go with both daytime and evening wear.  Reversible, the patterned or "fancy" side was worn in the evening and then it was turned over to plain during the day.

The fashion for these bracelets continued from Victorian times right through to the 20th Century and they look as good today as they did then.

This is a beautiful example from the Edwardian period - Fully hallmarked on every link 9ct.

The alternate foliate pattern is beautifully engraved and is interlinked by plain link and then repeated. The rear is all plain and shows the 9ct stamp on each link.

This superb bracelet is a fabulous soft rosy Gold colour.

The heart shaped padlock is nice and chunky and has a good secure clasp and for extra added security there is a safety chain.

The overall finish of the ring is wonderful. Everything is smooth to the touch.  

The bracelet itself is a length of 7 inches.

This Edwardian bracelet dates to Circa 1910.

In excellent condition for a piece of antique jewellery of 100+ years old, with minor signs of wear commensurate with age and use.
