An exceptional Art Deco Sapphire and Diamond cluster ring that promises to leave you breathless.

A jewel of timeless elegance, this 1920s–30s Sapphire and Diamond cluster ring is crafted in lustrous Platinum for a modern finish against the skin.

At its heart rests a captivating 2.24 carat oval cut Sapphire, a gem of regal royal-blue depth, its hue as rich as midnight skies touched by starlight. 

Surrounding it in a graceful halo are transitional-cut Diamonds, their delicate fire and softness of cut characteristic of the era. Together they weigh a full carat, each one adding a whisper of brilliance that dances around the Sapphire’s glow.

This composition of light and colour evokes both romance and refinement — a piece that carries the poetry of the Art Deco period into the present day.

Transitional Cut Diamonds: One of the cuts with the shortest time period, the transitional cut, is none-the-less a gorgeous cut. Cut from approximately 1918 through the 1920 s and perfected by Henry Morse and his partner Charles Field, the transitional cut Diamond is a round, faceted cut.

An evolution of the Old European cut, the transitional cut (sometimes known as the Early American Cut) has a lower crown, more medium table, shorter pavilion and smaller culet than the Old European cut. 

This a very consistently proportioned and beautiful stone cut.

Excellent; very light wear consistent with age and use. There are no major marks or scratches that we feel necessary to mention. All of our jewellery is professionally cleaned prior to us shipping it.

Many pieces of antique jewellery were unmarked because hallmark regulations were not obligatory until 1972.
