Description

Demantoid garnet is traditionally considered to be one of the rarest and valuable coloured gemstones today.

Demantoid garnet was first discovered in the Ural Mountains of Russia in 1853.

Featuring two fabulous round cut Demantoid Garnets which are of exceptional quality. They are a well saturated lively spring green colour with fabulous clarity and are inter-spaced by three sparkling bright white lively old mined cut Diamonds.

Beautifully showcased in 18 carat yellow Gold with exquisite carved scroll-work to the shoulders and a tapering shank.

The combination of Green Garnets and Diamonds was very fashionable during the late Victorian/Edwardian period Circa: 1880's.

A lovely example of the superb craftsmanship and elegant design found in the Edwardian jewellery.

Rings of this type are highly collectable and are sought after worldwide.

This ring would make an unusual engagement ring or a delightful dress ring.
