The name "Chrysoberyl" comes from the Greek words Chrysos, meaning "Golden," and Beryllos, meaning "Gem Crystal."

The Chrysoberyl, with its hues ranging from honey coloured to mint green, is a popular gemstone, and one which is esteemed by connoisseurs and gemstone lovers the world over.  The light and delicate yellow-green of Chrysoberyl is a rarity in the gem world.  The cuts on these stones are quite lovely.

This Genuine Edwardian ring features 5 graduated cut Chrysoberyl gems, 2,5ct total carat weight, are prong set with an open back  this allows light to shine through for sparkle crafted in a high carat mount with Lovely flower details on the shoulders. 

This beautiful and rare hand made ring was likely produced in England in about 1901-1919.
