A well executed and highly detailed cameo of a lady with a Greco/Roman hairstyle, Circa 1900's

The cameo has been carved from a Bullmouth Shell and depicts wonderful detail in the hair and face.

This wonderful lady is framed in a rope and floral open detailed frame.

Finely handcrafted in warm 9 carat yellow Gold.

This is a spectacular example of an original cameo brooch/pendant that is sure to impress all who see.

Cameos were extremely popular in the 18th and 19th centuries as they were tokens of the past.

There was huge interest in Archaeological finds and tourists travelled to Italy and Greece to see the marvels that were being unearthed.
