The fabulous styling of this otherwise classic ring style is what makes it so eye catching and unique and dates Circa 1910!

A striking 9 carat Gold ring that has been claw set with a gorgeous rich burgundy faceted Almandine Garnet, measuring 5mm diameter.

A faceted stone has small , flat-cut surfaces that make a sparkling effect on transparent stones.  Facets act as both mirrors and windows.  Reflecting light and channeling light into a stone where it reflects and re-emerges.

The overall finish of the ring is wonderful. Everything is smooth to the touch.  

The shank is substantial, yet extremely comfortable to wear.

The ring sits low and gently curves over the finger.

Garnets were viewed by the ancients as 'Earth' or 'Power' stones.  Their ability to reflect light well led to the belief that they could protect against the forces
of evil.

Garnet is the birthstone for the month of January and comprises a group of minerals that have been used since the Bronze Age for use as adornments.
