Incredibly coveted early 20th century ‘Lovers Knot’ ring symbolising eternal love which cannot be untied. We are enamoured by the design, quality and craftsmanship of this ring!

Crafted from rich buttery 18ct gold yellow Gold with interlocking knots featuring beautiful deep engraved sections and set with an old cut sparkling Diamond set in a gypsy star. The beautiful bright white Diamond is full of fire and life.

The figurative knots can also be seen to the underside and its beauty is a testament to the craftsmanship of this lovely early ring.

A thick and wide half round shank compliments this superb Edwardian beauty.

Adding to this unique ring is a full Chester hallmark and dates 1914.

Initially, the Chester Office assayed mostly Silver items and were home to one of the most important silversmith families, The Richardson's’ as well as the firm of Bethold Mueller, who predominantly distributed Silver manufactured by German firm Neresheimer & Co. It wasn’t until the late 19th Century that the Chester Office would begin assaying large quantities of Gold items until their closure in 1962 due in part to a reduction in work received through the Office.

For this reason, jewellery items assayed for Chester have become highly sought after, their presence in the market is slowly decreasing as time goes by, considering the Office closed 60 years ago!

With the condition of the ring, the very rare, and now collectible, Chester hallmark, is a very desirable ring for collectors world wide for rare hallmarks.

The overall finish of the ring is wonderful. Everything is smooth to the touch.

The shank is substantial, yet extremely comfortable to wear.

This ring is guaranteed to draw compliments because of its elegant and timeless appeal.

Excellent; very light wear consistent with age and use. There are no major marks or scratches that we feel necessary to mention. All of our jewellery is professionally cleaned prior to us shipping it.
