This stylish ring features a beautiful Australian Black Opal accented by two sparkling French Old Cut Diamonds.  Highly distinctive and as sweet as can be, Circa 1940s.

This stunning Black Opal is a kaleidoscope of vibrant colours which continually changes colours with the light.  The Opal continually displays a myriad of colours - green, yellow, reds, turquoise with a background warmth of orange.

The one carat Australian Opal is nestled between two bright white vintage cut sparkling Diamonds.

Each French Old Cut Diamond is 0.25 carats total combined weight of 0.50 carats.

French Cut Diamonds actually progressed from Table Cut Diamonds, which anointed the rings of royalty and liturgy across Europe. The French cut added more facets to the top of the Diamond bolstering its shape and its sparkle.

This vintage ring has been handcrafted in lustrous Platinum for a modern finish against the skin.

All gemstones are set within a classic secure prong setting leading to a plain band.

The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no damage to the Platinum setting and the Australian Opal and Diamonds are all intact and securely set.

The Black Opal is believed to be a protective stone that shields and restores one's aura. Allows energies to pass through you without touching or harming you.  Black Opal was called the precious stone as it was the gateway to paradise.
