Description

This stunning vintage 15 carat Gold locket is round in shape and dates to the Art & Crafts period, Circa 1890s

Beautiful 'bloomed' matt Gold in appearance and is heavily embossed with the Art Nouveau style.

To the front and center features a collet set Turquoise which is an opaque blue colour and is framed by black enamel overlapping coloums with sprayed straight line detailing running to the edge.  This detailing is mirrored to the reverse of the locket.

The Turquoise stone is believed to protect the wearer from negative energy and bring good fortune. The Turquoise is the symbol of friendship.

Inside the locket opens to a double sided photo insert where you can place your keepsake photos. Both frames are intact.  Two photo rims and celluloid covers remain on the inside.

This is a very elegant piece of Jewellery which you just have to hold and touch and move around in your hands to really know what a fabulous piece this is.

The locket is in excellent condition.  Closes with a nice snap and the hinge is excellent.

The overall design measures:  20mm x 20mm and weighs a total of 4.9 grams and 4mm slim.
