Description

Fabulous Edwardian 9 Carat rose Gold Bird Floral Motif Oval Locket is simply delightful and perfectly proportioned and well balanced.

A gorgeous Edwardian oval locket is sturdily hand crafted in rich 9 carat rose Gold, both sides are extravagantly hand engraved with quintessential ornamentation which was typical of the 1900s.

The detail of the engraving has no signs of wear and is in excellent condition.

The front of the locket displays forget-me-not flowers with two swallows to the reverse. Estimated circa 1900.

Swallows were often used as sweetheart symbols during this time period.

The gold is a soft antique pink typical of jewellery made at the end of the 19th century, called Rose Gold.

The locket opens to reveal two spaces for photo mementos.

This locket opens on the left and closes securely.

This locket is so much lovelier in person than my photos suggest and has a nice rich shiny finish.

A perfect gift idea for special occasions such as Christmas, Valentine's Day, birthdays, anniversaries and
any special day that your loved one to remember you.
