A fabulous Victorian forget-me-not flower ring! Dates 1899.

Legend has it that in 15th century Germany, a young knight was picking these small blue flowers for his lover on a river bank, when he slipped and fell into the river. As he was being carried away, his voice was heard yelling out to the woman "Forget me not!" as he tossed the bouquet to his lover.

The forget-me-not flower motif was popularly used in love tokens and mourning jewellery during the Victorian period.

This gorgeous forget-me-not ring dates to the Victorian period 1899, complete with a clear hallmark.

This fabulous ring features five Turquoise opaque blue cabochons in cut down collets, a sparkling old mine Diamond sparkles in the center, total of 0.10 points.

This Mourning ring is so fascinating and boasts fabulous workmanship with scroll detailing on the shank which leads to a plain yellow Gold band.

To the reverse there is a locket, where the hair of a departed loved one would be placed.

The ring is in exquisite original condition.
