Description

Mourning jewellery mirrored the lives and times of the people who wore it. It was a souvenir to remember a loved one, a reminder to the living of the  inevitability of death, and a status symbol, especially during the Victorian era.

A Victorian black and white intaglio mourning ring hand crafted in 18 carat yellow Gold, hallmarked with English stamps, detailed by a central panel of hinged form which opens to reveal a  glass panel. 

The black and off white onyx oval is width 10mm height 15mm and depicts a wild cat.
